“Play It Forward”
The Greater Boston Chapter, NSCIA, recently donated a ParaGolfer to the Spaulding Adaptive Sports Program in appreciation of all they do with their adaptive sports programs. The ParaGolfer was donated to the Chapter by an individual whose husband had passed away. Her husband loved a good game of golf. One Father’s Day, he had the opportunity to use the ParaGolfer belonging to one of our peer mentors, Jerry Donovan. His smile filled the course and golf was once again his game. With this donation to the adaptive sports program, there will be many who can once again stand up and play.
Our Peer Mentoring program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and an article on Boston’s accessible venues are featured in the July issue of New Mobility Magazine.
Maureen McKinnon, one of our peer volunteers and a member of our Board of Directors, is in the news! Take a minute to see how sailing changed her life after her injury.
