The Greater Boston Chapter has a
Van Give-Away Program where
companies and people can donate their unused wheelchair vans to the chapter, who in turn will award
through a selection process the van to an individual in need of their own transportation.
The Board of Directors has come up with an application outlined below. If you are interested in
applying for the Van Give-Away Program, please fill out the application and return it to the Chapter
office. When vans become available, your application will be scored based upon the content of your
answers by a sub-committee that the Board of Directors has set up to review the applications.
You will be contacted by phone if you are chosen as a finalist for the van.
The GBC is a non-profit organization that relies on members to get involved and to volunteer in its
many endeavors. Members are encouraged to get involved in any capacity possible. Some things can be
worked on at home. If you can volunteer any time at all, please contact the GBC office. Being an active
member can benefit your consideration in the Van Give-Away.
We will be holding on to your applications for future use, so if your phone number, address or criteria
situation changes please let us know. The more you meet the criteria, the better your chances when the
chapter acquires more vans.
The GBC has received and awarded five vans in the last four years.
If you have any questions, please call Kevin Gibson at the GBC office. We look forward to your response.
